Early Years
Welcome to the Early Years Foundation Stage
Here at St Mary’s, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is made up of a Nursery and Reception class. Our EYFS staff work together as a team to provide quality provision which enables each child to develop their talents, personalities and abilities in a safe and stimulating environment. Nursery and Reception work together to share exciting learning opportunities.
OUR RECEPTION:
Our Reception class is based within the main school building and is part of our Early Years Foundation Stage and follows the same timing structure as the main school:
8.45am-3.20pm.
OUR NURSERY:
We are a 52 place nursery for 3 and 4 year olds and offer flexible part time and full time places to suit your needs.
Our Nursery is a separate classroom attached to the main school building.
We offer morning, afternoon or full day sessions for children aged 3 and 4. Children can begin nursery as soon as they turn 3 years old. We offer 15 hours free childcare with free fresh fruit each day for all children. Some children may be eligible for 30 hours free childcare and also free-school meals.
Our Nursery sessions are as follows:
Morning session: 8.45am - 11.45am
Afternoon session: 12.15pm – 3.15pm
Lunch time session: 11.45pm - 12.15pm
Full day: 8.45am – 3.15pm (staying for lunch: school meal or packed lunch)
Extra sessions can be booked at an additional charge.
We get up to all sorts in our EYFS and most importantly we have lots of fun!
